Save Time

If you could capture time in a bottle what would you do with it?

Let a little out here and there.

Save it all for a month long vacation.

The truth is time is not something you can save, because it is not a tangible something. The only time is Now. You have probably heard this before, but the only time we have is the Present. The Past is gone and the Future is what you make it...starting now

Everything you do today will have an impact on your future, whether you realize it or not. Thankfully, there are some techniques to help you get the most out of your time, however, these won't help you "save time" they only help you answer and realize the fundamental question:

Are making the most of the time you have?

How many of us wish we had done this or that, in other words made regrets. In the time you spent contemplating the past you could have been plotting your course for the future.

This is how to avoid the pitfalls of life and concentrate on building the future you want to see. Do you want to have an award winning blog in the blogosphere? Get to a featured item section of Etsy? Get noticed by magazines and other publications?

Or some other higher goal?

Start Now.

Begin to plan your actions on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Organizations have five year, ten year, and longer plans, so should you. (So should I. *grin*)

Write it down.

Have a planner and use it.  I have been guilty in the past of buying planners and not using them, this is a crime against myself. If you do the same, remember: we are cheating ourselves.
Set Deadlines.

As you begin to block out your time you will automatically begin to utilize it in a more thoughtful manner. Suddenly, you will see where huge chunks of your time were wasted and stop wasting it. You will find your days actually have more time in them, because you are taking control of time, time isn't having it's way with you.

Visualizing where you are going is key. Whether building an object, a company, a career path, or a country, everything started with a plan--a blueprint. You can create your own blueprint for your life, a sketch of what you want your life to look like. Your plans are your blueprint.

Create a Dream Collage.

This is a collection of pictures of what you would like your life to look like. For some of us that will include artistic pursuits so our collage will have our arts incorporated in it, for others traveling may be involved so different maps of places may be in there, still others family, spiritual pursuits, and/or careers are imperative. Whatever makes your life whole should be included.

Hang this in a conspicuous place.

You want to be able to see this artwork everyday, as much as possible, and work to bring the elements together to create it using your plan, your blueprint. This will help you keep your choices focused on your goals.

Here are some of the pictures I will incorporate in mine:

Great Quotes
Pictures of activities.
Great quote from a great Etsy shop, click photo to Earmark.

Ireland.
Places I would like to see (probably would add some maps too to mine, as well.)

Dream Homes...

Now is the time to choose our destiny!

How will you choose yours?
